0:00 · Getting started
Here's how to get started with ShellX, from your first workspace to answering your AI agents from your phone.
0:07 · Workspaces and the sidebar
Install ShellX on your Mac or Windows PC. Each project lives in its own workspace, listed in the sidebar under Your Machines. Open a new one with the plus button. The sidebar shows each workspace's git branch, folder and open ports at a glance.
0:26 · Split panes and the built-in browser
Split any workspace into panes, to the right or down. Run your dev server in one pane, and preview the app in the built-in browser right next to it.
0:39 · Command palette
Every action is in the command palette. Press Command Shift P, and type what you need.
0:49 · Run an AI agent
Now start Claude Code, Codex, or any command-line AI agent in a pane, just like in any terminal.
1:03 · Approve an agent request
ShellX follows what the agent is doing. When it needs your permission, the workspace is flagged in the sidebar, and your paired phone gets a notification. Approve it here, and the agent carries on.
1:24 · Pair your phone
To take your sessions with you, pair your phone. On your Mac, open Settings, choose Mobile, and click Show QR Code. In ShellX on your phone, open Settings, then Your Macs, and tap plus. Scan the code, or paste the pairing code. Check the Mac's name, tap Pair, and allow the phone on your Mac. Only devices you allow can reach your sessions.
1:56 · Follow agents from your phone
Every workspace from every paired Mac shows up on your phone, with its branch and status. Tap one to follow the agent live. Type a message, and it goes straight to the session on your Mac. Then watch it write the code and run the tests, as it happens.
2:18 · Needs You: allow, answer, review plans
Needs You collects every request from your agents in one place. Allow a command with one tap. Answer a question by picking an option, or by voice. And review a plan before any code is written. Approve it, revise it, or deny it, without walking back to your desk.
2:42 · End-to-end encryption
All of this is end-to-end encrypted between your devices. The ShellX relay only forwards encrypted bytes: it can't read your terminal, and it never stores it.
2:54 · Download ShellX
That's ShellX. Download it free for Mac and Windows at shellx.pro, and get the app for your iPhone or Android phone.

0:00 · Introduction
Automate your Claude Code work in plain English, with ShellX Automations.
0:06 · Skills, workflows and jobs in one place
Automations keeps your Claude Code skills, workflows and scheduled jobs in one place. Each card shows its schedule, the next run, and how the last run went.
0:18 · Describe a new automation
To make a new one, press New and describe what you want. Here: every weekday at nine, summarize the pull requests in my web repo.
0:33 · Claude Code drafts the cronjob
Claude Code turns that into a draft cronjob: a name, a schedule, the folder it runs in, and the only commands it may use while you're away.
0:43 · Choose how to hear back
It always asks how you want to hear back. I pick when it's done and when it fails, on my Mac.
0:56 · Check the flowchart and the skill file
The draft is drawn as a flowchart, so you can check the logic before anything runs. The Text tab shows the skill file Claude Code will follow.
1:05 · Save it and run it now
Press Save, and ShellX schedules it on this Mac. The new card shows its next run. Run now tries it right away: the card turns yellow while it works, then shows the result.
1:20 · Your existing Claude Code skills
Skills you already have in Claude Code show up here too. Open one, and Claude draws its flowchart, including the step where it stops to ask you.
1:30 · Download ShellX
ShellX is free for Mac. Get it at shellx.pro.

Your terminal. Everywhere. This is ShellX. On your Mac or PC, ShellX is a fast, modern terminal: a workspace for every project, split panes, a built-in browser, and your AI coding agents, side by side. Step away, and your sessions come with you. Open them from your iPhone or Android phone, follow your agents live, and type back. When an agent needs you, you'll know. Allow a command, answer a question, or approve a plan, in a single tap. Everything is end-to-end encrypted. The relay in the middle only ever sees scrambled bytes, your keys stay on your devices, and there are no ports to open. ShellX runs on macOS, Windows, iPhone and Android. Download it free at shellx.pro, and take your terminal with you.
